Installing in winter – do you do it?
Client wants installation in January. We're in a cold climate – ground freezes. Do you guys install in winter or do you tell them to wait until spring? Worried about frost heave if we set in frozen ground.

We don't install when the ground is frozen. We tell them we can do the stone and have it ready but installation has to wait until thaw. Had a client insist once – we said no. They waited.
Same. We book from April onwards. January–March we say no. Not worth the risk of the base shifting when the ground thaws.
We've done it a couple of times when the cemetery had heated the ground or when it was a mild winter. But as a rule we say spring. Safer.
We tell them the stone will be ready in 8 weeks but we schedule install for April or May. They're fine with it when we explain why.
Ok we'll say spring then. Thanks.
