CNC / engraver care – run idle after load, unplug when not using

Picked up a tip from someone here: run the machine at idle for 10–20 sec after a heavy run so it cools down, and don't leave it plugged in if you're not using it for a while. Electronics last longer. Anyone else do that? We've started and it seems to help.

Yeah we do that. Idle after load, unplug at the end of the day. Had a board go on us once and the repair guy said heat and always-on were the cause. So we're careful now.
