Feedback on a design – figure looks great but cross proportions?

Saw a design someone posted (not here, elsewhere). The mourning figure looked really good but the crosses looked a bit off to me – proportions or spacing. Didn't want to sound harsh. How do you usually give that kind of feedback without upsetting anyone?

I'd just say it straight – 'the figure works really well, have you tried adjusting the cross size?' Most people prefer that to vague comments.

Same. 'Figure's great, crosses feel a bit out of proportion' – no one's gonna be offended. We're all here to improve.
