Reusing a mould – if someone already made it the form exists

Client wants an angel we've never done. Someone said if a workshop already made that model the mould exists and you don't pay for the mould – it's 500–800 to make new. So finding someone who has it is way cheaper. Anyone had luck asking around for an existing form?
